Today’s #TipTuesday will feature one of the new aspects of the recent Geocortex upgrade! You now have the ability to export your markup right out of the map and to a shapefile that can be used in ArcGIS Desktop or other GIS software! Now adding features to your GIS map (e.g. new manholes) is as simple as exporting the file and sending it to us to import into your system.
In order to use this, you will need to first add some markups.
Once you are satisfied with your masterpiece, locate the “Export Drawings” button and click it.
A dialog box will pop up confirming your download; you will need to click “OK.” It will then download a Zip file containing all of your markup types (Points and Polylines for this example). You can now use this in a desktop application or send it to someone else to use.
Stay tuned for more exciting new features next #TipTuesday!
