This week’s #TipTuesday will cover the basics of our Illicit Discharge Inspection Tool! First of all, you might wonder, what is an Illicit Discharge? An illicit discharge is defined as any discharge to the municipal separate storm sewer system that is not composed entirely of storm water.
We decided to make the long and grueling inspection easier by putting it in your GIS. If you don’t yet have the Illicit Discharge Tool but would like to try it out, visit our Demo Site, YourTown. In order to access this tool, identify a storm structure that is marked as an outfall.
You can click Create New Report, and the following form will appear.
When your inspection has been completed, you will see it appear in a list of other inspections.
If you click on Make PDF it will generate a PDF copy of the report with all the data you gathered during your inspection, including any images that might have been uploaded during the process.
