The EPA has identified that communities across the country are facing challenges of inadequate infrastructure for drinking water and wastewater. The EPA’s state revolving funds have provided over $66 billion in low-interest loans for water infrastructure projects since 2009.
Using GIS capabilities, the EPA has created an interactive map that holds information regarding two water-related funds: the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
Using the map, you can click on any state to see how much federal funding was allotted to that state since 2009. By moving the slide, you can alternate between the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
With these loans providing funding for crucial infrastructure projects across the nation, communities are experiencing meaningful public health and environmental benefits.
