For anyone who drives a lot, you’ve likely heard of Waze – an app that gives you real-time road reports for things like traffic jams, accidents, police, and more. It’s no surprise, then, that Waze is partnering with Esri to even further shape intelligent transportation systems.
The goal is to create connectivity between ArcGIS platform users and the new Waze Connected Citizens Program. Where Waze provides governments with real-time, anonymous, user-generated information, governments can then provide real-time construction, crash, and road closure data to Waze in return.
This partnership can provide even better commuter information for all drivers, making transportation systems more intelligent (and less crowded!).
