Last week we showed you how to access YourTown™. This week, we’ll show you how to access utility dashboards.
First, if your layer list (left) and toolbar (top) didn’t open automatically, click the arrow and tool buttons respectively to bring out the menus.
The left panel serves a few purposes. The first is to let you select which information you want to display in the application. For this example, I’ve turned on storm, sanitary, and water utilities, which now are drawn on the map.
Another use of the side panel is to display results from Identify actions. Performing an Identify (found in the toolbar on top) will give you further information about the area you choose to highlight, and will give you access to “Details” links. These are what you use to open dashboards containing attribute editing and inspection & repair tools.
Click the details link to gain access to more information and actions for the identified utility.
Now that you know how to access utility data and some of their tools, go and try it out in our demo site, YourTown™!
