This week’s Tip Tuesday will focus on another extension of our Sign Support Tool. In this week’s post, we will shed light on operating our Light Fixtures tool. Similar to last week’s post on traffic signals, we will add a street light fixture to an existing support feature in the map.
Please select your target support feature and click “Details” in the pop-up window.
Clicking “Details” will open your support features dashboard in another window of your internet browser. In the dashboard, navigate to the “Light Fixtures” tab to access the tool. To add a light fixture to your support feature, click the “Add” button located at the bottom of the dashboard.
Once you’ve clicked “Add,” the light fixtures dashboard will open containing a set of fields that allows users to input detailed information about your target light fixture.
Give your light fixture an ID number and populate the fields using the drop down arrows to best describe your light fixture feature. If you are satisfied with the information you have provided, click “Submit” to attach your light fixture to your support feature.
Once the information is submitted successfully, your new Light Fixture can be viewed under the Light Fixtures tab inside of your Support features dashboard. To view your results, select the light fixture feature with any of our identification tools, then click “Details” to get back into the features dashboard or view the information about your light fixture in the pop-up window .
If you’d like to make any changes to your light fixture, add additional light fixtures, or delete the light fixture altogether, click the “Edit,” “Add,” or “Delete This Light” buttons located beneath your Light Fixture dashboard. If you are satisfied with the current information added, click “Close” to take you back to the map.
This concludes this week’s Tip Tuesday as well as our Sign Support tool mini-series! Thank you for tuning in we hope you enjoyed this week’s post. Have a great week!
