Thanks to everyone who came to our GIS User Group yesterday. We had representatives from Greenfield, Oconomowoc, Slinger, Hartland, Grafton, Wauwatosa, Mukwonago, Fox Point, Whitefish Bay, Thiensville and Germantown.
The User Group was a great opportunity to learn about the latest HTML5 release, the concept of Citizen Service Requests and how to best use GIS on mobile devices. The GIS reps present were able to get specific questions answered about the ways that their municipalities use GIS and the tools that give them the most value.
Our User Groups are designed to be open-forum, with lots of questions and answers being tossed around. It’s our hope to have many more in the future in our different branch offices (Madison, Global Water Center, Itasca and Kenosha.) Future user groups will be posted on our Facebook page as well as here on our blog.
Our next seminar will be on October 22nd, entitled “Mapping Out Your GIS Plan for the Future.” We hope to see you there!
